Half Term Ideas

22.05.16 – Cardiff International White Water –

Make their day with a trip to the Bay
If you’re looking for ways to keep the children entertained this half term, whatever the weather, Cardiff Bay is unbeatable.
Walking or cycling the circular Bay Trail is a great way to get to know the Bay better and enjoy some spectacular views.  The full route is just over 6 miles/10km with places of interest, as well as wildlife, play areas and a variety of cafés and ice cream outlets along the way. For an interactive experience, little explorers can download the Tiger Bay Trail App and have fun discovering the history of the area along the way.
You can also meet the Bay’s newest inhabitants – the Snowdogs, which are helping to raise funds for Ty Hafan. The Tails in Wales Trail will take you around the Bay to snap a selfie with the individually designed pack, before they’re sold at auction in December.
Children in search of adrenaline-filled adventures will find them at the award-winning Cardiff International White Water (CIWW), where lots of activities are on offer in one amazing place. They’ll have a blast riding jets of water on a bodyboard with Indoor Wave, particularly as the double lane design enables family and friends to perfect their skills together.
Other options include canoeing and kayaking taster sessions; Air Trail, featuring high ropes and zip wires that tower above the white water course; climbing wall; and bike hire. Ring CIWW on 029 2082 9970 for the latest availability, and head to www.ciww.com for further details.
